BOAC Bishop Marcelino Maralit is calling on the faithful to offer prayers for the speedy recovery of four priests in Marinduque who are currently confined in different hospitals.
Based on Circular Letter No. 1-2024, Maralit called on the faithful to join the community in praying for the healing of the four priests.
“We believe that the power of prayers, especially of all the Christian Communities in our diocese, will not only guide their attending doctors, protect and secure our patients, but even more hasten their recovery and even effect miraculous healing if it is God’s will,” said Maralit.
“Thus, I would like to encourage everyone to please pray fervently for our sick priests,” he furthered.
Responding to the call, the Diocese of Boac has released a community prayer that will be prayed in all Sunday Masses.
“The community prayer will commence in all our Sunday Masses, including the anticipated Masses, and will continue every day before the celebration of the Mass until they are all well,” said Maralit.
Four priests in the Boac diocese are currently confined in different hospitals due to “serious health conditions.” They were not identified.
The Diocese said three of the priests are at Mt. Carmel Diocesan General Hospital in Lucena City, while the other one is at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City.
