OVER 5,000 jobs as call center agents are available due to high vacancies in the country, according to the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE).
Based on the BLE data, the top job vacancy from March 24 to 30 was call center agents. A total of 5,702 vacancies for call center agents are registered with the BLE.
This is followed by the demand for 3,138 professional nurses and 2,361 job vacancies for production workers.
The BLE said service crew members are also in demand with 1,007 job vacancies.
Completing the top five are demands for customer service assistants with 952 vacancies.
The BLE said the data is based on the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Employment Information System (PEIS) sourced nationwide.
Also serving as source of information by BLE are those from the government-run job matching portal, PhilJobNet.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the number of unemployed individuals in February 2024 was estimated at 1.80 million.
