THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology yesterday said it is pursuing administrative charges against the deputy jail warden of Taguig City Jail, who was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday for allegedly raping a tenant at his boarding house.
BJMP spokesman Chief Inspector Xavier Solda said BJMP chief Director Allan Iral issued an order to “fast track the investigation relative to possible administrative liabilities” against Sr. Inspector Ramon Carolino.
“The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology reaffirms its strong position against any form of abuses on women and does not condone nor tolerate such acts especially if committed by its members,” said Solda.
“Any misdemeanors and forms of abuses on women has no place in a civilized society,” Solda added.
Carolino was nabbed by NBI operatives in Leveriza, Pasay City on Tuesday based on the complaint of a 26-year-old tenant, who alleged she was raped by the jail official last January 16 after a drinking spree.
NBI investigators have lodged a case of rape against Carolino before the Pasay City Prosecutors Office.
