The three other BIFF men were able to escape but one of them was intercepted later in Barangay Olandang, also in Midsayap, aboard an ambulance of Datu Piang town in Maguindanao.
The suspect, identified as Maguindale Nawal, 25, of Datu Piang, had a gunshot wound in the check he suffered during the firefight, according to 6th Infantry Division chief Maj. Gen. Diosdado Carreon.
Operations are underway to apprehend the other two.
