BFAR exec moonlighting as pusher nabbed in CDO

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Sunday arrested an employee of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources who moonlights as a drug pusher in Cagayan de Oro City.

PDEA chief Wilkins Villanueva identified the suspect as Lauro Galindo, 51, a BFAR senior fishing officer based in Iligan City.

Reports reaching the PDEA headquarters in Quezon City said agents of the PDEA regional office 10 conducted a buy-bust operation on Galindo at Kisunlo subdivision, Barangay Ipunan, Cagayan de Oro City in Misamis Oriental.

On a pre-arranged signal, PDEA agents pounced on Galindo after he reportedly sold some five grams of shabu worth P34,000 to the undercover agent.

In Alubijid town, also in Misamis Oriental, PDEA agents arrested Abeth Gabriel Samoa, 36; and Isaac Eguana Codilla Jr.,39, in a buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Bonifacio street last Saturday. — Raymond Africa
