NELIA Quiroz Bernardino, mother of sportswriter and chess player Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr., died last Friday, Oct. 25., at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center in San Fernando, Pampanga. She was 72.
She is survived by children Marlon, Michael, Marinel and Anthony.
Her remains lie in state at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City.
