THE Supreme Court has increased the Bar admission fee to P5,000 from P3,750, with the hike to take effect upon the oathtaking and roll signing ceremonies for the 2022 Bar passers.
This was contained in an en banc resolution dated February 28 but only made public by the SC yesterday afternoon.
“The subject increase shall cover the imminent surge in the operation costs, particularly the cost of venue for the oathtaking and roll signing ceremonies, and other logistical expenses, as well as the allowances of concerned personnel,” said the notice issued by SC Clerk of Court Marife Lomibao-Cuevas.
It added that the fee hike is also “concomitant to the innovations that will be implemented in the said Court proceedings.”
Around 9,000 candidates completed the localized and digitized 2022 Bar Examinations held last November in 14 test centers nationwide.
