THE Philippine Embassy in New Zealand yesterday asked Filipinos there to reach out to them in connection with their complaints about allegedly receiving ballots with a missing entry of a presidential candidate.
Photos of a ballot without the name of Vice President Leni Robredo, one of the candidates in the May 9 elections, began circulating on social media on Sunday.
“Anyone who claims that they have received a ballot with an erasure or non-appearance of any of the entries is requested to return the entire ballot package to the Embassy so that we can verify the claim,” the embassy said in a statement.
The embassy said it has asked the main office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to look into the matter.
