NEW coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases recorded by the Department of Health over the last seven days totaled 3,572 or a daily average of 510 from March 14 to 20.
In its latest bulletin, the DOH said this “is lower by 13 percent than cases reported from March 7 to 13.”
The number included one additional severe and critical case during the past week.
On the negative side, however, 655 deaths were recorded over the past seven days.
Meanwhile, the DOH reported there are currently 805 severe and critical cases in the country as of March 20.
Of the total severe and critical cases, the report showed that 619 of them are occupying ICU beds.
The number of occupied ICU beds account for 17.8 percent of the 3,473 total nationwide.
There are 4,532 COVID-19 patients occupying COVID beds. This is 16.6 percent of the 27,376 total COVID-19 beds allocated nationwide.
