Average daily cases below 300

THERE were 1,906 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases from April 4 to 10 for a daily average of 272, according to the Department of Health.

In its latest bulletin, the DOH said the daily average was “lower by 29 percent than cases reported from March 28 to April 3.”

While the daily average has dropped down below 300, there were 428 more deaths during the past week.

The DOH also reported that there are currently 707 severe and critical cases in the country as of April 10.

Of the total severe and critical cases, the report showed that 542 of them are occupying ICU beds.

The number of occupied ICU beds account for the 18.4 percent of the 2,951 total nationwide.

There are 4,045 COVID-19 patients occupying COVID-19 beds. This is 16.4 percent of the 24,689 total COVID-19 beds allocated nationwide.
