Sweethearts Maine Mendoza and Congressman Arjo Atayde are getting married.
Photos and videos of the grand proposal last Friday, July 29.
“Wait, whaaaat??? We’re engaged?!” was the caption a seemingly shocked Maine wrote for her photo with her fiancé on her Instagram account.
Arjo, on his Instagram, wrote: “My turn, I will marry you cutie” followed by a heart emoji and the date 07.28.22.”
The couple has yet to set a wedding date, but fans and friends are all agog over the news.
As expected, well-wishers in and around showbiz sent messages of love and coingratulations for the couple. Members of their family, like Arjo’s mom, actress Sylvia Atayde and sister, actress Ria Atayde, welcomed Maine into their family with open arms.
Sylvia wrote: “He asked Her and She said, Yes!
“Finally!! Welcome to the family, Maine. Thank you for loving my son. Love you Nak.”
Photos from the engagement also showed Arjo’s father and siblings, plus members of Maine’s family, including her parents, Teodoro Mendoza and Mary Ann Mendoza, in attendance.
