Antipolo resident nabbed for gruesome killing of live-in girlfriend

AUTHORITIES arrested a 27-year-old man who allegedly killed and dismembered his live-in girlfriend in Antipolo City last Saturday morning.

Col. June Paolo Abrazado, local police chief, said Vince Eric Rivera Ramos, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, will face murder charges.

Abrazado said that during interrogation, Ramos confessed to killing and dismembering Lanie Cabanet Loreto.

Loreto’s remains were found by a scavenger under a bridge in Barangay Dela Paz last Friday at around 11:50 a.m. Her body, head, and limbs were in separate garbage bags.

The victim was last seen alive on June 7 at around 8 p.m. while on her way to a mall accompanied by an alias Ate.

It was also revealed that the victim and the suspect were previously arrested for illegal drugs. — Christian Oineza
