Actress Andrea Torres secured a role in the Argentinian film tentatively titled “Passional.”
The producers of the film took notice of Andrea’s Instagram account and reached out to her managers. She flew to the country last October 21 to shoot for the said movie.
Andrea said the project is about an unusual romantic movie.
“Na-excite ako kasi kakaiba ‘yung way kung paano sila nag-meet, kung papaano nagdevelop yung feelings nila sa isa’t-isa and how it will end! It’s a different kind of story, something na hindi ko pa nagawa before.”
She revealed her character is a Filipina dancer. She took a three-day tango class to prepare for the role.
“Actually, nagustuhan ko ‘yung tango dance. Ang sarap ng feeling when you are doing the tango, very romantic kasi ang moves and it’s really like you are in love while you are dancing. Para kang lumulutang ‘yung gan’on. Feeling ko even after the movie, gusto ko pa rin mag-aral ng tango.”
Andrea is the only Filipino in the main cast and with mostly international actors. The movie is co-produced by Malevo Films of Argentina, an independent Filipino producer and GMA. It is also set to shoot in the Philippines in the first half of 2022.
Andrea’s first international movie project was the Cambodian film “Fight For Love” in 2016. Currently, she is part of GMA’s family drama series “Legal Wives” as Diane San Luis, the Catholic wife of Dennis Trillo’s character, Ishmael.
