UNIDENTIFIED assailants shot dead four people, including the alleged leader of a drug group, in an auto shop in Biñan City in Laguna on Sunday night.
Laguna police spokeswoman Col. Chitadel Gaoiran identified the fatalities as James Anthony Alonalon, 40; Jason Mangahis, 43; Carlo Tanael and Custer Tanael.
Gaoiran said Alonalon is the leader of the Alonalon drug group operating in Biñan City and nearby cities and towns.
She said Alonalon was arrested by the police in Sta. Rosa, in Laguna, sometime in 2018 for a drug-related offense. Alonalon was released after the case was dismissed.
Gaoiran said eight men broke into the Creative Design Tarpaulin and Auto Shop on P. Burgos Street, Barangay San Vicente at around 11:45 p.m., shot the four, and fled.
