We will get to know more about the ladies, beginning with the candidates from Baguio and Sultan Kudarat today, before the digital pageant starts its series of online activities and competitions this coming September.

Alana Monica S. Rhedey is 20 years old and stands 5’ 8½” tall. Born on January 10, 2000 at Queen Victoria Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, Alana was brought up in a household concocted from German, Hungarian, Ibaloi, and Ilongga cultures that makes her a living proof of these vibrant and diverse mix of customs and traditions.

An artist and humanitarian at heart, she loves animals, painting, drawing, and recycling.

She is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, major in Web Track Development at the University of the Cordilleras.

Alana has always been an animal lover that is why she genuinely accepted the offer and the recognition of becoming an ambassadress of Baguio Animal Lovers League. She believes that animals need sufficient love, care, and attention just as much as we humans do. She is also an advocate of promoting the preservation of endangered species for them to continue thriving and away from their possible extinction. “There are thousands of abandoned and homeless animals. We can take care of them, we can adopt them, and I hope one day everyone will also follow the ‘Adopt. Don’t shop.’ rule,” shared Alana, who is also the reigning Miss Baguio City.

Sultan Kudarat’s Allyssa May Nicholls is 18 years old and stands 5’7” tall. The young beauty queen is half Filipina and half British and has high hopes and big dreams for herself and for her community. She is currently residing at Kalawag 1, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat where her family decided to stay for good.

Allyssa loves to travel and explore amazing sceneries especially in her town. For her, traveling awakens her spirit and feeds her soul. She travels because it makes her realize how much she haven’t seen and how much she still needs to see. Furthermore, another reason why she travels is to promote the stunning tourist spots in Sultan Kudarat.

As a nature lover, Allysa also advocates for the protection and preservation of natural resources. She believes that the environment, especially its natural resources, should be protected and be preserved so all living things can benefit from them now and in the future.

Allyssa’s first pageant was when she joined Mutya ng Sultan Kudarat and was hailed as second runner-up. With dedication and hardwork, she believes that she can spread her wings even wider and even bolder in the next pageants that she will be joining.
Asked to describe herself in three words, Alyssa replied: “Dreamer. Believer. Doer.”

The Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 will receive P50,000; the first runner up P25,000, and second runner-up P15,000.
