Congratulations to Jannarie Zarzoso, 21, from Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte for winning as Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 last October 3. She bested eight other finalists and also won two special awards: Netizens’ Choice and Miss Unique Smile.
Zarzoso, or Hannah to family and friends, holds a degree in Accounting Technology (magna cum laude) from Fr. Saturnino Urios University, and in Accountancy from Surigao Education Center.
She won P50,000 cash and the equivalent amount to her chosen charity.
The first ever Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen, on her first public appearance after winning the title, paid a courtesy call to Cabadbaran City Mayor Judy Chin Amante last Monday to personally extend her gratitude for the support extended by the city government and the rest of the CARAGA region in her quest for the crown.
Accompanied by Love Radio Butuan’s station manager Israel Miras Palero, Hannah formally turned-over the check amounting to P50,000 from Manila Broadcasting Company to the charity of her choice — Feed, Protect, Save, Inc. of the Philippine National Police.
Jannarie’s parents are both active and high-ranking officials of the PNP.
On exhibit at the lobby of Cabadbaran City Hall were the gowns she wore during the competition, along with photos and videos of her Aliwan Fiesta journey.
Named as first runner-up was Jasmine Omay, 21, an aviation student from Tarlac who received P25,000. She was also voted as Miss Charm.
Second runner-up was Alyssa Nicholls, 18, a senior high school student from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat who won P15,000. She also won as Miss White Rose.
Miss Palmolive Naturals was Nicole Angela Crescini of Boracay, Malay, Aklan, while Bianca Willemsen of Consolacion, Cebu won as Miss Tibay Tanduay.
Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen is a special edition of Manila Broadcasting Company’s iconic brand of cultural entertainment. It is distinct from the annual Reyna ng Aliwan Fiesta that has been indefinitely put aside due to the pandemic.
