While the country celebrated Valentine’s Day, a fire razed a residential area in Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City late Monday night (Feb. 14), leveling 300 homes and leaving an estimated 600 families homeless.

Helped immediately poured in from city officials (lower photo), including Councilor Hero Bautista, whose office dispatched a team to provide blankets and mats to affected residents, serve hot food, and distribute health kits.
