“Lunch Out Loud” (LOL) scores a win in the ratings game.
The five-month-old noontime show has been gaining in viewership and recently took the #1 spot in the ratings chart.
Despite being new on the scene, TV5’s LOL surpassed a more established local noontime show, according to data from Nielsen Arianna PHINTAM Individuals. From December 2020 to March 2021, it was ahead of “It’s Showtime” which airs on A2Z. On January, it garnered 816K Average Minute Ratings (AMR) — the highest on record for LOL. In comparison, “It’s Showtime” garnered 559K AMR on the same month.
Launched in October 2020, “Lunch Out Loud” is hosted by Billy Crawford a.k.a. Daddy Bills, Alex Gonzaga, Bayani Agbayani, KC Montero, Ariel Rivera, Wacky Kiray and K Brosas. The show benefits from its talented and wacky hosts who have received praise for their chemistry.
LOL has also been cited for its creative segments, like “H.O.P.E.” for couples who have broken up; the fun singing competition “KanTrabaho”; and the colorful lipsync contest, “Drag Queendom.” Viewers and contestants alike look forward to the cash prizes given out in “Pera Usog.” The wish-granting segment, “Sagot Mo, Sagot Ko with Daddy Bills” is also a hit among the LOL-kada and has helped many people out through their financial troubles.
