Anthony Taberna and family led a grand thanksgiving celebration, “Press Play,” on Sunday, July 31 at the Elements Centris in Quezon City.
It was a happy occasion for Anthony, Rossel, and their kids, Zoey and Helga, as the event celebrated personal and professional triumphs. Anthony has found a second wind in his career and his Ka Tunying’s continues to expand, now becoming one of the main pillars of the Taberna Group of Companies (TGC). On the home front, Rossel recently marked her 37th birthday and their loved ones and followers are also celebrating the restoration of the health of Zoey and of course, Helga.
The Tabernas admitted TGC paused during the pandemic, but it did not stop. The Taberna’s events arm, Outbox Media, successfully innovated and adapted as it shifted to hybrid events, content creation, and digital advertisements.
Meanwhile, TGC’s Ka Tunying’s — which is on its seventh year — has given in to clamor by forming Catering by KT, which expands from the savory Filipino “Panlasang Makabayan” favorites to an array of international cuisines that can fit any client’s preference.
Ka Tunying’s has brought its baked goodies to food retails partners like All-Day Supermarkets, Divimarts, Puregold, and Mini Stop convenience stores.
“Press Play” also featured the launch of “Tune in Kay Tunying’s” jingle and music video that features Ben Barubal, Verse 1, and Evs. “Tune in Kay Tunying’s” celebrates the broadcaster’s impact on his ever-increasing followers. The digital space opened more opportunities to Taberna as his Facebook followers swelled to 2.2 million, his YouTube Channel breached the 500k mark, and he started his Tiktok account.
Of course, the icing on the cake of the gathering is the family’s thanksgiving for the triumph of eldest daughter Zoey against her fight with a rare form of leukemia. The outpouring of love and support from Filipinos all over the world, coupled with the family’s faith and the unceasing prayers of many, gave Zoey and the entire Taberna family the courage to fight and overcome the medical ordeal.
