NINE members of the so-called H-World United Nations Military Philippines Government, a group formerly headed by Sen. Robin Padilla’s deceased brother Royette, were arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition in Palawan on Wednesday.
The Mimaropa regional police office identified the nine as Michel Blanco, Joel Magbanua, Jerry Tulambing, Wilfredo Tatic, Juan Selose, Rodrigo Tacani, Noel Bergante, Robert Reyes and Rogerio Sedan.
They were nabbed by police and military operatives at the H-World headquarters in Barangay 4 in Roxas town during the implementation of a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 ((Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regula-tion Act)
Recovered from them were a cal. 45 Remington pistol with magazine and ammunition. Police said the nine admitted being members of H-World.
The suspects are currently under the custody of the Roxas po-lice station, pending the filing of charges against them before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
“We will sustain our intensified efforts against loose firearms to maintain the peace and order in the entire region through the dedication of our troops and full support of the community,” said Mimaropa Regional Police Director Brig. Gen. Sidney Sul-tan Hernia.
H-World attracted attention in the 1990s when Padilla’s broth-er, Royette, said he is a brigadier general in the organization. Royette died of a heart attack in January last year at the age of 58.
