EIGHTY-TWO percent of Filipinos were satisfied with the conduct of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections last October 30, the December survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.

The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents with a margin of error of ±2.8 percent, also showed that 11 percent were dissatisfied.

This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +72 (percent of satisfied minus the percent of dissatisfied).

SWS also found that vote buying (13 percent) was the most commonly witnessed irregularity during the BSK polls, although 15 percent said they had only read or heard about it while 55 percent said they were sure that it did not happen.

Other irregularities witnesses saw include bribery not to vote, harassment of voters, and flying voters (2 percent each), and cheating in vote counting and violence on election day (1 percent each).
