SIXTH-SIX more bodies of deceased overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are set to be flown home from Saudi Arabia on Sunday, July 19, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

“We have a scheduled arrival on July 19 and we are looking at about 66 human remains,” Labor Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said in a televised press briefing.

She said the 66 died due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and other causes.

The repatriation of the 66 was originally set last Sunday but was delayed after the government failed to complete the requirements for their repatriation.

Last July 10, 49 bodies, the first batch of deceased OFWs from Saudi Arabia, were brought home. Out of the 49, 20 died of COVID-19.
