INTERIOR Secretary Eduardo Año has promoted 65 Bureau of Fire Protection superintendents (lieutenant colonel) to the higher rank of senior superintendent (colonel).
Año approved the promotion of the officials last February 7 on the recommendation of BFP Director Louie Puracan and the BFP Senior Officers Executive Promotion Board.
The newly promoted officials took their oath before DILG Undersecretary for public safety Nestor Quinsay and Puracan at the DILG-NAPOLCOM building in Quezon City last week.
In a message read by Quinsay, Año told the 65 officials that their promotion is a stepping-stone for “higher altitude of public service.”
“I and the rest of the Filipino people are expecting that this achievement will translate into bigger milestones not only for your personal glory but more importantly for the betterment of the entire Fire Bureau,” said Año.
Año also urged the 65 officials to strengthen their dedication to serve the country so they would be emulated by their subordinates.
