OVER 600 jobseekers found work during the simultaneous job fairs in the National Capital Region (NCR) conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as part of the International Women’s Day celebration last March 8.
In a statement, the DOLE-NCR reported that out of the 2,897 total registered applicants, 608 were hired on the spot in the six job fair sites in Metro Manila.
This means that the one-day simultaneous job fairs had an overall HOTS rate of 21 percent.

Last March 8, the DOLE-NCR held job fairs in the cities of Malabon, Manila, Muntinlupa, San Juan, and Pasay, as well as in the municipality of Pateros.
