OPERATIVES of the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed six suspected pushers and seized P369,912 worth of suspected shabu in three buy-bust operations from Wednesday afternoon to early morning Thursday.
Nabbed on Escuela St. in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday were Kalel Valle Bacud, 32, and Jovan Banaskao Hilario, 22. Seized from them were 40 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P272,000, a weighing scale, drug paraphernalia, the P2,000 buy-bust money and a motorcycle.
More than two hours later, on JP Rizal Ext. and H. Santos St. in Barangay Tejeros, three more suspects were arrested, identified as Paulino Luna David, 57; Rizal Garcia Celestino, 49; and Benjamin Ilustre Valdez, 48. Recovered from them were 3.83 grams of suspected shabu worth P27,112.
On Thursday at 2:45 a.m., Peter Symon Espiritu Obusan, 38, of Sta. Mesa, Manila, a food delivery driver, was nabbed for carrying P70,800 worth of suspected illegal drugs.
Police said Obusan has long been under surveillance. Seized from him were six grams of suspected shabu with street value of P40,800 and red tablet believed to be illegal drugs worth P30,000.
Also recovered from him were a cellphone, his driver’s license, two more ID cards, and a motorcycle (NE 71547).
All the suspects are detained at the Makati Police Station and will face charges for violating the Anti-Illegal Drugs Act of 2002.
Two men were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City Thursday at 1 a.m., with ₱34,000 worth of suspected shabu seized from them.
Col. Moises Villaceran, local police chief, identified the two as Jonathan Esguerra, 36; and Abet Algado, 29, residents of Barangay Rosario. — Noel Talacay and Christian Oineza
