6 CBCP commissions have new chairmen

SIX episcopal commissions are set to have new chairmen after they were elected in the 126th Plenary Assembly of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) being held at the Marzon Hotel in Kalibo, Aklan.

Based on the list provided by CBCP News yesterday, six episcopal commissions have new chairmen whose terms will run from December 2023 to November 2025.

They are Bishop Midyphil Billones of the Episcopal Commission on Bioethics, Bishop Daniel Presto of the Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education, Bishop Danilo Ulep of the Episcopal Commission on Cultural Heritage of the Church, Bishop David Antonio of the Episcopal Commission of the Liturgy, Bishop Oscar Florencio of the Episcopal Commission on Prison Pastoral Care, and Bishop Bernardino Cortez of the Episcopal Commission on Public Affairs.

They are replacing Bishop Precioso Cantillas of the Episcopal Commission on Bioethics, Bishop Jose Elmer Mangalinao of the Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education, Bishop Julito Cortes of the Episcopal Commission on Cultural Heritage of the Church, Bishop Victor Bendico of the Episcopal Commission of the Liturgy, Bishop Joel Baylon of the Episcopal Commission on Prison Pastoral Care, and Bishop Reynaldo Evangelista of the Episcopal Commission on Public Affairs.
