FIVE Filipino workers arrived home Tuesday night from conflict-hit Haiti, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
The five were among 40 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who have sought repatriation from Haiti, DMW said.
The five received assistance and reintegration support upon their arrival.
“They were immediately assisted through the DMW Aksyon Fund,” said DMW.
Last March, the Department of Foreign Affairs placed Haiti under Crisis Alert Level 3 because of its unstable security situation brought about by violent gang activities and breakdown of law and order.
Records show there were at least 100 OFWs based in Haiti.
