CLOSE to 400 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from crisis-hit Israel are back home, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Data released by the DMW showed 362 OFWs were repatriated from Israel in 11 batches from October 18 and December 11.
The number includes the 27 OFWs, who arrived on yesterday.
“There are 25 caregivers and two hotel workers in this latest group of returnees,” DMW said.
It said the OFWs were offered a wide range of assistance under the “whole of government” approach.
It said all arriving OFWs have been made to fill up information sheets upon their arrival.
“The information will be used for monitoring the returned OFWs and as bases for the provision of additional services for them,” said the DMW.
A total of 14 children of the repatriated OFWs were also among those brought home. — Gerard Naval
