THE Department of Health (DOH) yesterday reported 3,083 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases yesterday, the lowest number of infections in 10 weeks, although the figures do not include numbers from three laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System last May 21.

In its latest bulletin, the DOH said the number of new cases was the lowest reported since March 11, when 3,749 new infections were reported.

“The relatively low number of new cases was due to the simultaneous updates being made in the COVIDKaya (a digital platform for COVID-19 information management in the Philippines). Some case data from the CDRS were not included in the COVIDKaya and were not included in this case bulletin. This issue is currently being investigated and addressed by the COVIDKaya technical team,” the DOH said.
