THREE suspected drug pushers were killed while nine others, including a foreigner, were nabbed and over P20 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in anti-narcotics operations in Rizal, Tarlac, and Zamboanga del Norte on Wednesday and Thursday.
The three fatalities were identified only as alias Turagsoy, alias Toto Ulama and one alias Patay-patay. They shot it out with policemen during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mascap in Rodriguez, Rizal at around 9 a.m. Wednesday. Their companion, one alias, Nano, managed to escape.
Recovered from them were 80 grams of suspected shabu worth P544,000 and two handguns.
In Concepcion, Tarlac, six suspected marijuana dealers were arrested and 158 kilos of marijuana worth P18.9 million were seized in another buy-bust operation. The six were identified as Marlon Miranda, Joey Palaeyan, Freddie Letta, Carl Andrei Maico, Via Jean Ortega and Lorraine Fulgencio.
They were nabbed by policemen and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives at around 9:40 a.m. Thursday in Barangay Francisco in Concepcion. Aside from the marijuana, also seized from them were a car, bullets and two cellphones.
Two more suspected drug pushers were also nabbed by PNP and PDEA operatives after selling half-a-kilo of shabu worth P3.4 million, to a poseur buyer in Barangay Dutung-A-Matas in Concepcion, Tarlac on Wednesday night.
One of the suspects was identified as Luciano Tumaque, alias Onyok, 51. Police withheld the name of the second suspect, a 13-year-old boy, who was turned over to the custody of social workers in the town.
In Zamboanga del Norte, police arrested Belgian Randall Jean Gilbert Louwye, 52, who sold suspected shabu worth P5,400 in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Gil Sanchez in Labason town at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Louwye also yielded a cal. 38 revolver.
