THREE security guards were arrested for creating a ruckus and then posing as police officers in a bar in Makati City last Saturday night.
Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said Renante Sacil, Lino Bartolay and Richard Bongcras Jr. were arrested by Makati police operatives after creating trouble in a bar on Makati Ave., Barangay Poblacion.
Citing reports reaching his office, Kraft said the three arrived at the bar at around 7 p.m.
and had a few drinks. At around 9:30 p.m., Sacil approached Jildo Miramis II, whose musical band was playing in the bar, and asked about their requested song.
When Miramis politely answered that there were many requested songs ahead of theirs, Sacil became confrontational and claimed they were Makati police officers.
When Miramis asked for their identification cards, the suspects became even more aggressive and threatened everyone who tried to pacify them.
The commotion caused disturbance and chaos at the bar, prompting bar manager Erika Alacar to seek assistance from the Poblacion police sub-station.
Responding police officers tried to pacify the suspects, but they became even more aggressive and disrespectful. This prompted the police to arrest them.
Kraft said the three will be charged with usurpation of authority, alarm and scandal, and resistance and disobedience to a person in authority under the Revised Penal Code.
