3 more wage orders to take effect this month

THREE wage orders are set to take effect before President Duterte steps down from office on June 30.

These are the wage orders in the Calabarzon, Eastern Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula regions.

On June 25, minimum wage earners in Zamboanga Peninsula will get a P35 wage increase, to bring up their daily wage rate to between P338 to P351.

In Eastern Visayas, the P50 wage increase will take effect on June 27, or a minimum of P345 to P375 range.

For Calabarzon, the P97 pay adjustment will take effect on June 30, or a minimum wage rate in the region of P350 to P470.

Earlier in the month, 13 wage orders issued by their respective regional wage boards took effect. These are in the National Capital Region (Metro Manila), Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, and Caraga.
