THREE persons died on Saturday in Isabela province after their motorcycle was hit by a pick-up truck driven by a soldier in Jones town.
The Jones town police station named the fatalities as Angel Bolusan, Evangelyn Salvador, and Ann Claire Marie Camarao, all residents of Santiago City in Isabela.
The driver of the Isuzu D-Max pick-up, Sonny Boy Matias of Cabagan, Isabela, is in the custody of the Jones PNP.
Maj. Noriel Tayaban, spokesman of the Army’s 5th Infantry Division based in Gamu in Isabela, said the 29-year-old Matias belongs to the 86th Infantry Battalion.
Police said Matias’ vehicle was at the national highway in Barangay Payac at around 5 p.m. on Saturday on the way to Jones town proper when it figured in the accident.
