OPERATIVES of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group killed three Chinese alleged kidnappers and rescued two kidnap victims in a raid of the suspects’ safehouse in Paranaque City last Sunday.

AKG spokeswoman Lt. Col. Joan Montero said three Filipinos who were inside the safehouse were invited for questioning to determine if they are linked to the kidnapping.

Montero said the victims — Xiangqin Zhou, a Chinese and Li You-Ci, a Taiwanese — were kidnapped last February 3 in Manila and on February 14 in Pasay, respectively.

Earlier Sunday, Montero said another Chinese victim, Lin Qingchang, who was kidnapped last Saturday in Pasay City, escaped from his captors and sought assistance from the Las Pinas City police. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of the safehouse’s caretaker, Lorriel Asaytono Lozano, a Filipino.

Acting on the information provided by Qingchang, Montero said AKG and Southern Police District operatives raided the suspects’ safehouse on 41 Vicente Recto St. in BF Homes, Paranaque City.

The suspects shot it out with the raiding policemen and were hit. They were brought to the Paranaque Medical Center where they were declared dead on arrival.

Montero said the three Filipinos found in the safehouse during the raid are being interviewed to determine if they are involved. They were not identified.

Policemen recovered at the safehouse assorted firearms, ammunition, military uniforms, fake vehicle plate numbers, fake conduction stickers, and a Toyota Innova van with shabu inside.
