THREE Chinese men were arrested yesterday in Quezon City in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and PNP.
The operatives seized 127 kilos of shabu, worth P863.6 million, from Wille Lu Tan, alias Chen Bien, 42; Antong Wong, alias Wang Zhong Chun and Win, 28; and Chen Zhin, 79.
The three did not resist arrest when accosted on Magsaysay street, Barangay San Bartolome in Novaliches Quezon City at around 10:30 a.m., by personnel from the PDEA-Special Enforcement Service, PDEA-National Capital Region, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and the Novaliches police station.
The operation was conducted also in coordination with the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency and the military’s Joint Counter-Intelligence Task Force Noah.
The drugs were contained in plastic sachets, with Chinese markings.
The three suspects are said to be using a hardware store as a front for their illegal drugs operations.
No other details were available.
Investigators are preparing a case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against the suspects.
On June 13, joint operatives of PDEA and PNP arrested two Chinese — Man Kuok Wong and Zhizun Che — and seized 155 kilos of shabu, worth P1.05 billion in a buy-bust operation in Cavite and Parañaque City.
