MT Sounion, the latest to be attacked in the Red Sea, are all safe, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac also said the 23 want to be repatriated after their rescue.
“Understandably, they are anxious and are requesting that they be rescued,” he said adding the DMW was informed that “naval security forces” have arrived in the area.
On Wednesday, the MT Sounion was subjected to multiple missile attacks by over a dozen people on two small boats.
The latest attack took place west of Yemen and west of the Red Sea, which has been designated as a “high-risk” and “war-like zone.”
