TWO persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Marikina City on Wednesday, with police seizing ₱146,600 worth of suspected shabu.
Col. Restituto Arcangel, local police chief, identified the two as Friledo Parta, 20; and Grace Castro, 40; of Iwahig Doña Petra, Barangay Tumana.
A third suspect identified as Dante Empleo managed to escape and is now the subject for manhunt operations.
Recovered from them were nine sachets containing 22 grams of suspected shabu.
Meanwhile, a tricycle driver was stabbed and wounded by a construction worker for still unknown reasons in Pasig City on Wednesday.
Col. Moises Villaceran, city police head, identified the victim who is under observation at the Pasig City General Hospital as Jaymark Velasquez, 29, of Barangay Sto. Tomas.
His attacker, identified as William Bagalay, is at large and is being pursued by cops.
Initial investigation showed that Velasquez was waiting for passengers on E. Santos St., Sto. Tomas when Bagalay arrived and, without provocation, attacked the tricycle driver then fled. Bystanders rushed victim Velasquez to the hospital.
