2 Chinese drug dealers nabbed, P408M shabu seized in Pampanga

TWO Chinese suspected drug dealers were nabbed and 60 kilos of suspected shabu worth P408 million were seized by anti-narcotics police operatives in Mexico, Pampanga last Wednesday.

The PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) identified the suspects as Wenjie Chen, alias Harry, 45; and Sy Yan Qing, 42; residents of Angeles City, Pampanga.

They were nabbed by PDEG operatives in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 1:45 p.m. in Lakeshore, along the North Luzon Expressway in Mexico.

Aside from the suspected shabu, also seized from the suspects were the buy-bust money, a Honda City car, a mobile phone, assorted identification cards and documents.

Operatives of other police units, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, National Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Customs aided PDEA in the buy-bust operation.

The suspects were brought to the office of the PDEA-National Capital Region Office at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

In Bacolod City, PDEG operatives arrested another suspected drug peddler and seized 150 grams of shabu, worth P1.02 million, also on Wednesday.

The suspect, Marcial Delos Santos Jr., 49, was arrested during an interdiction operation at Bredco Port, Reclamation Area, Barangay 10 at around 2:36 p.m. He is a resident of Iloilo City.

Police seized P6.3M worth of marijuana leaves and firearms and arrested a suspected dealer in Taytay, Rizal last Wednesday.
