TWO Chinese were arrested by operatives of the PNPs anti-kidnapping group on Saturday in Pasay City for the kidnapping of three fellow Chinese.
Reports reaching AKG chief Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo said the suspects, identified as Yang Jun and Wu Ze Han, were nabbed in Barangay 97, Taft Ave. at around 3 p.m.
AKG spokesman Maj. Ronaldo Lumactod Jr. said the suspects were behind the kidnapping of Gang Yang, Yong Long Chen and Shouwang Wu, employees of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators or POGO.
Lumactod said the victims were abducted in Angeles City but could not say when they were seized.
He said the victims were rescued by AKG operatives on June 1 at Room 36 of the Boomerang Hotel in Angeles City.
Citing information from the rescued victims, Lumactod said the suspects’ group is holding other kidnap victims.
“We are tracing where they are being kept,” said Lumactod, adding they are hoping to recover the other victims in the coming days.
“This is a continuing operation to identify the other members of the group. We already arrested the two and operations are underway to arrest the others involved,” he said.
