15 more licensure exams shelved

AMID the uncertainty brought about by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed 15 more licensure examinations for next year.

In an advisory, PRC said it has decided to postpone 13 examinations scheduled for October as well as 2 tests set for November.

“Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in our country that resulted to fear and anxiety to the health and safety of all concerned, the PRC postpones and resets in 2021 the conduct of these licensure examinations,” said the PRC.

Ordered postponed are the chemical engineers licensure examination (October 2, 3, & 4); naval architects and marine engineers licensure examination (October 6, 7, & 8); metallurgical engineers licensure examination (October 6, 7, & 8); certified public accountants licensure examination (October 10, 11, & 17); and licensure examination for optometrists (written) (October 13, 14, & 15).

Also temporarily shelved are the licensure examination for optometrists (practical) (October 18, 19, 20, & 21); special certification examination in ocular pharmacology (October 13); chemists licensure examination (October 20 & 21); chemical technicians licensure examination (October 22); and electronic engineers licensure examination (October 24 & 25).
