CLOSE to 12,000 employment opportunities abroad are set to be offered to jobseekers during the Overseas Mega Job Fair to be conducted by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) today, Monday, as part of the country’s 125th Independence Day celebration.
In its advisory, the DMW said a total of 11,750 job orders shall be offered by 32 recruitment agencies and 2 manning firms during the job fair for aspiring overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at the agency’s central office in Mandaluyong City.
“A massive overseas job fair is set to be held for all those looking to find work abroad,” the DMW said in a social media post.
The DMW said the job fair will be held today at the Blas Ople Building located on EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue in Mandaluyong City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Among the potential countries of destination, the DMW said, are Guam, Maldives, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Bahrain, Germany, United Kingdom, China, Czech Republic, Macau, and the United States.
The DMW said the job openings to be offered are for nurses, welders, construction workers, laborers, waiters/waitresses, baristas, warehouse supervisors, food servers, chefs, bakers, accountants, and seafarers.
The DMW said jobseekers need to bring their resume/biodata, photocopies of passport, ballpen, face mask, and alcohol.
The potential applicants are also advised to wear proper attire.
