TEN persons were arrested by the police for violating quarantine protocols and illegal gambling in Pasig City on Saturday night.
Col. Moises Villaceran, local police chief, identified the 10 as Noel Querebin, 23; Kyle Maverick Reyes, 18; Marvin Aleman, 31; Regie Ledesma, 29; John Jumilla, 19; Joebert De Asis, 18; Mar Jun Escaño, 28; Jayson Tamolin, 22; Niño Fajardo, 33; and Melchor Garcia Jr., 38, all residents of Barangay Santolan.
Recovered from them were billiard equipment and P2,300 in cash believed to be betting money.
Police said they received reports of illegal gambling and violations of social distancing protocols on Mayana St. When they arrived at the scene, police spotted the group apparently engaged in illegal gambling and made the arrest.
