Religious symbols and iconography have always been one of the main inspirations of the fashion industry since time immemorial. In the past, overtly faith-based pieces were considered the fashionable norm, especially in many subcultures. However, many today prefer to wear something less eye-catching yet still speaks of their religious beliefs.
This is the goal of AMEN, an Italian jewelry brand established in 2012 by designer Giovanni Licastro. “At the heart of this project is faith, love, and a deep willingness to share words and meaningful symbols through jewelry with loved ones so they can feel protected. AMEN means wearing a feeling, an emotion that rises almost casually but that stands by choice and brings us every day wherever we want to be with the people we want to share our deepest values with,” Licastro said.
This resulted in the development of pieces in different styles and materials for the wide fashion tastes of its customers. The best-seller is the Prayer Bracelet Collection. It features lines from the Lord’s Prayer, either in English or in Latin, etched on an Italian leather strip which can be wrapped around the wrist and the ends held together by a magnetic clasp.

Other popular designs include the Vita Cristi et Maria collection which highlights the life of Christ or Mary, and the Quadricuore collection featuring four hearts signifying faith, hope, love, and luck in different colors adding life to one’s fashion style and a reflection of where the wearer’s heart is at the moment.
While the majority of the pieces are faith-based, AMEN also offers a range of secular pieces including necklaces, rings, and earring that cater to different styles and preferences.
AMEN can be found at Alabang Town Center and is set to open its first boutique by the third quarter of the year at One Ayala in Makati City. “We are thrilled to bring a unique collection of jewelry to the Philippines with the opening of our first kiosk location in Alabang Town Center. AMEN Jewelry is designed to be more than just an accessory — it is a symbol of faith, love, and meaningful connections with those we hold dear,” says Dawn Dacanay, the official representative of AMEN in the Philippines.
