ICONIC Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons® Philippines has expanded their #TimsCaresPH CSR initiative to provide meals and other essential goods to frontliners and urban poor communities. The ongoing relief effort aims to support those in the medical field, government departments, food and delivery industry, as well as workers who lost their jobs amid COVID-19.

Through #TimsCaresPH, a portion of the proceeds from every purchase made via take-out or delivery is used to fund ongoing COVID-19 efforts. The initiative has already provided aid to 19 hospitals and health centers, as well as 32 different checkpoints, urban poor communities, and police stations across Metro Manila and Calabarzon. Tim Hortons continues to reach out to more Filipinos in need, especially displaced construction workers, mall personnel, street vendors and public transport workers.

“Our goal is to show our support to all our frontliners who are working tirelessly to keep everyone safe. As a coffee and restaurant chain, it is our commitment to continuously provide relief given the increasing need for food donations in hospitals and marginalized communities. We are grateful for all our partners and guests who continue to work with us in reaching those who need help the most.” says Rickie Yap, Tim Hortons Philippines President & CEO.

Providing care through purpose-driven collaboration, Tim Hortons has also partnered with HSBC for its Fill Your Cup Promo where HSBC card holders can donate their earned Tim Hortons coffee from their rewards, to medical frontliners. Running from April 22 to May 16, the promo has already distributed a total of 1,600 cups of coffee to various hospitals.

Leaving no one behind, Tim Hortons expressed its gratitude to its partner delivery providers where all riders of Foodpanda and Grabfood were given a special treat on May 7. Riders received Timbits, the coffee chain’s infamous soft bite-sized dessert, for every Tim Hortons order they got assigned to.
