SM Foundation’s medical mission heads to Cagayan Valley

Moving towards its vision of helping communities in nurturing their health and wellness, SM group held two medical missions in Tuguegarao and Cauayan in the Cagayan Valley region.

Through the said medical missions, SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI) assisted over 1,200 patients.

Volunteer doctors provide free medical checkups to patients in SM City Tuguegarao.

In SM City Tuguegarao, the foundation extended free medical check-ups, medicines, and vitamins to over 500 patients, extending over 800 services on March 1, 2023. About 50 beneficiaries availed the dental services, and over 500 had medical consultations. About 60 patients received free cholesterol and glucose tests.

Aside from this, over 80 Tuguegaraoeños underwent free electrocardiogram (ECG) and x-ray tests through SMFI’s mobile clinic.

During the missions’ second leg in SM City Cauayan on March 2, 2023, SM Foundation also provided free services to over 600 Isabelinos, providing more than 800 medical and dental services–from X-ray, ECG, and cholesterol and glucose tests.

Joining SM group in the success of the medical missions are MX3-DMIRIE Foundation, Tuguegarao and Cauayan local government units, Cagayan United Doctors Medical Center, Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Isabela Medical Society, and Red Cross Isabela.
