JULLIEN Skin, a cosmetic brand seen to be one of the major players in the skincare market in the country today, is launching its Rejuvenating Skin Set offered at an affordable price without sacrificing quality and efficacy for more people and customers.
Jamira Magcale, founder and president of JDM Corp., said Jullien Skin happened to be her college thesis.
“I worked all my four years of college building JDM,” Magcale said. I was really fond of cosmetics early on, so I decided to do something that I was truly passionate about.”
Magcale graduated in 2019, and many years later, after a lot of trial and error, the product of her hard work is finally in the market. Jullien, which means youthful in Latin, is named after her young sister.
“Jullien Skin is our way of making good quality products that are still affordable,” Magcale added. “There are a lot of skin care products in the market today that are of great quality, but too pricey for most. With Jullien Skin, we listen to what Filipinos need.”
Magcale said their company creates quality products that meet those needs, but will not necessarily break one’s bank.
For the brand’s first of many lines, the Rejuvenating Set contains four products — kojic soap, toner, night cream, and sunscreen — exclusive to retail shopping brand PureGold, and Magcale and her team are very grateful to be partnering up with PureGold for this.
Kojic soap cleans and brightens uneven skin tone. “It also contains aloe vera because we want to cleanse the skin without stripping it of moisture,” she said.
The toner contains vitamin C and niacinamide which is vital to reducing blemishes and even helps the skin tone; it also boosts skin hydration, she explained.
For daytime, the brand has the water-based, SPF 30 sunscreen which Magcale believes is very important to not skip in the user’s routine, especially those who live in the metro where it is mostly scorching hot. “It is great to protect your skin from sun damage to prevent skin aging,” she said.
“It is water-based because we live in the Philippines where oil-based products tend to get greasy at the end of the day. With this sunscreen, you ensure that your skin will be okay the whole day,” she assured.
Lastly, the night cream which the user must apply right before bedtime to do its magic. “It repairs your blemishes and dark spots, as well as ensures that you’ll be glowing the next day,” Magcale stressed.
“This is just the first product line that we are releasing, and we are releasing many more in the coming weeks, months, and God willing, years,” she shared.
