Kuya J is one brand that has made a name for itself as a destination for families looking to enjoy a hearty meal thanks to the large serving sizes which are meant for sharing.

But as the pandemic swept through the Philippines and dining habits started to change, more and more Filipinos have started to enjoy meals by their lonesome. To help cater to this growing segment, the brand has launched its Solo Meals selection which offers the restaurant’s favorites in single-serve portions.

“The reason why we launched the single-serve is that we’re still feeling the effects of the pandemic. Many Filipinos now have smaller budgets and they can’t go out as much due to quarantine restrictions. The Solo Meals were created so that diners can still enjoy their Kuya J dishes even if they’re on their own,” Kuya J Group marketing director Ton Gatmaitan shared.

These dishes include Kare-kare, Beef Caldereta, Sinigang na Baboy, Kuya J Bulalo, Beef Tadyang Sinigang, Puchero Bulalo Tagalog, Beef Pares, Chicken BBQ, Chicken Halang-halang, Chicken Sisig, Quarter Roast Chicken, Lumpia Prito, Crispy Bangus ala Pobre and Sinigang na Bangus, with each meal paired with an assortment of side dishes, rice, and a serving of iced tea to round out the meal, which starts at P199.

“This addition to the menu helps expand our customer base. So whether you’re a family or a single person, you can still get to enjoy Kuya J’s Filipino favorites. The restaurant industry wants to give more value for the customer because money is tighter, so that is what we’re doing,” Gatmaitan added.

To celebrate the new addition to the Kuya J Menu, any Solo Meal meal order gets you a chance to win a brand new Vespa scooter or Kuya J Sarap Maging Single premium items and meals.
