Salmon transforms rural banking with digitalization

Salmon is revolutionizing rural banking by leading the digital transformation of Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), aiming to enhance customer experiences and modernize operations.

Raffy Montemayor, co-founder of Salmon and chairperson of Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), emphasized that the bank’s digital overhaul is central to its innovative strategy, designed to improve customer service and strengthen brand reliability in the banking sector.

“Digitalization is crucial for developing advanced banking products and services that enhance the customer experience and extend our reach beyond traditional branches,” Montemayor stated.

He also announced that the Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna) is developing a mobile banking app, with plans to launch it this year, pending BSP approval.

“We aim to streamline banking for our clients by integrating the AI-driven features of the Salmon app, ensuring a smooth and convenient user experience,” he added.

Montemayor underscored that the digitalization initiative will reinforce Salmon’s commitment to building a leading consumer fintech ecosystem in the Philippines.

Salmon has invested significantly to stabilize the Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), attracting key investors. As a result of these investments and improvements, the bank’s total deposits surged, and its loans increased.
