The moon, both mystical and stable, draws the viewer in for its mystery and universality.
Norberto Carating’s “Poetry of the Sacred Moon” explores the boundaries between the familiar and the unfamiliar in an effort to shift one’s viewpoint from a static representation of the moon towards a subjective, dynamic representation.
Carating’s lunar paintings represent the celestial element floating in space, a visual representation of abstract thought forms. His color palette is informed and inspired by the spectrum of colors found in nature. He uses spheres and circles in his works as it brings a sense of unity, a shape that brings a sense of harmony.
The artist creates works out of his own personal quest to convey the messages that come to him through his connection to spirit. His artistic process is a meditation, an intimacy with the divine, and a dialogue with the universe. As Carating transforms his visions into a tangible form, they take on a life of their own. By communicating his understanding of these totems throughart, he intends for his viewersto benefit from their inspirations, gifts, and lessons.
As a visual artist, Norberto Carating creates with intention and is able to evoke the necessary elements that his muse has to offer.
