CEBU-BASED dog owner-breeders Dennis and Barbara Tan and Joshua Quesada scored a milestone for the country after their boxer Ridge won over 300 entries to take the Best of the Breed grand prize in the recent American Boxer Club National Show at the Indianapolis Marriott East Hotel in Indianapolis.
Handled by noted dog trainer, Michael Shepherd, the handsome boxer from the X-Cellence Boxers Club owned by the Tans in Cebu City was at his best in meeting the top criteria of agility, scent work, obedience/rally, futurity/maturity on top of general overall appearance.
It was just the latest achievement of the dog after it won the Best of Breed honors at the AKC Royal Canin Cup last December in Orlando, Florida and the Select Dog title at the Westminster Kennel Club show in New York City last May 14.
